What Our Founder Says:
From an early age, I have had a zeal to do something for people, and this zeal is what drives me. I have always told myself that whenever I start earning for my living, I will donate one-fourth of my earnings for betterment. The Sahil Sharma Foundation is not just a foundation but an emotion. My main aim is to reach out to millions of people and let them know that some people care about them. I want to distribute food regularly, but for now, it is not feasible for me to do it alone, which is why we distribute twice a month. This would not have been possible without my parents, who taught me the value of life. I pray for every soul out there. May you all achieve everything in your life. Jai Shree Ram.
Our Planning for the Distribution:
A day before, we contact our chef and check the quality of the ingredients. In the morning, the chef and his team make and pack all the food into 500ml containers. Then they contact the Sahil Sharma Foundation to receive the packages. After receiving the packages, we wait for some volunteers, and then the distribution begins. We go to as many red lights as we can cover and give food to the needy, and we also wait outside temples to distribute our food.
After receiving the food, the smiles from the children are priceless. The way they say thank you makes us feel that we are doing something right and motivates us to do more. From the packaging to the distribution, it takes around 6-8 hours. It is tiring, yet we are blessed to be able to contribute something to society.
After distributing and coming home, we start editing the priceless smiles we have seen so that more people can volunteer with our drive. We believe that every small effort is accountable for bringing change. We are blessed to have proper meals and drinking water because there are people who cannot even afford water. So, give as much as you can without hoping to get something in return.
